Mar. 27--The Bangkok Fashion City Centre, an ambitious project promoted by Industry Minister Somsak Thepsuthin, will likely be delayed, as the National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB) has not yet approved a budget worth 2.1 billion baht.
The NESDB is concerned the project will overlap with similar fashion promotion efforts of the private sector, according to a board source.
Vivat Vinicchayakul, director-general of the SMEs Promotion Office, the operator of the project, conceded that the project would be delayed since the budget was not yet approved.
